The unparallel joy of performing a tea ceremony using
tea vessels you made yourself
One of the most important elements of the Tea ceremony is to please the
guests invited. Today, the way the Tea ceremony is performed has changed
significantly from the past; instead of being performed outdoors, recently
it is more common and convenient to use small rooms in our houses. Therefore,
although a famous potter's work would be appropriate for formal occasions,
when performing the Tea ceremony for friends and family we would recommend
using your own tea vessels.
As the hot water gets into the tea vessel, an indescribable warm feeling
starts to spread all over your body starting from the palm of your hand.
However, if you have created your own tea vessels a new variable is added
into the process, the one of the creator.This variable is the main ingredient evident in all items referred to as
fine items.
I like practicing the tea ceremony myself. I really enjoy inviting friends at home for tea parties and use tea bowls, water containers and flower vessels I made myself. I do not know whether most of you are aware of that feeling of joy or not, so I am inviting everyone to come and see, ask and put your hearts into creating your own tea vessels. It is a feeling that can not be compared or felt with ready made items bought from shops. In this class we would like to help you make your own tea ceremony vessels. Also, we want to help you find your own “way” to please your tea ceremony
guests.
